Both, Stefan Ulbricht (born in 1982) and Moritz Schlömer (born in 1987) are playing their instruments since childhood and jazz and boogie woogie roused them to passion. They first met during the German Music Fair at Frankfurt in 2005.
Immediately they discovered that their skills on piano and drums could be combined properly. After a few jam sessions in various pubs they started to interchange musical ideas. It didn‘t take long for them to appear on stage as a duo on piano and drums.
This gig was a big success and it was intended to extend the collaboration. Numerous gigs in Germany and other countries followed and they got better and better together, both as musicians and as friends.
Therefore, it is hardly surprising that they are also able to easily transfer the fun and the passion, sensed while playing to the audience. Over the years they have developed a comprehensive and diversified programme - and they are always good for something unexpected. This is especially reflected by the new CD „Big Bigger Boogie“.
Stefan Ulbricht and Moritz Schlömer simply stand for boogie woogie at its best.
